Overview
The PrepBox is a configuration tool designed for preparing Astera Quik Spot fixtures before deployment. When used together with a compatible ChargingPlate (Charging Plate), it allows technicians to configure up to eight fixtures simultaneously from a single interface.
The device communicates with the fixtures through the ChargingPlate, allowing color temperature, color, brightness levels, and DMX addressing to be set without connecting to each fixture individually or using the AsteraApp.
Although originally introduced for Quik Spot fixtures (also referred to as QuikSpot), the PrepBox works the same way with Quik Punch lights.

Usage Notes
The PrepBox communicates with fixtures through the Quik Spot or Quik Punch ChargingPlate, which provides the communication interface required for configuration. The device itself does not control charging and is not compatible with charging systems used for other Astera fixtures such as AX5 or AX9.
