The Flex Base is a versatile mounting accessory designed for the Astera Hydra Panel (HydraPanel). It allows the fixture to sit securely on flat surfaces while providing adjustable tilt for precise light positioning.

The Flex Base slides onto the Hydra Panel using its integrated cold shoe mount. Once attached, the foldable legs allow the light to stand on flat surfaces such as tables, shelves, or set pieces while maintaining adjustable tilt for accurate light placement.
The base includes several mounting options for rigging and installation. Threaded mounting points include two 1/4-inch-20 UNC threads, one 3/8-inch-16 UNC thread, and one M5 thread. The included Astera baby pin can be attached to the base, allowing the Hydra Panel to mount directly to grip equipment such as gobo heads or Mafer clamps while maintaining tilt adjustment.
Countersunk holes in the base also allow the Flex Base to be screwed directly to walls, set pieces, or other flat surfaces for permanent or semi-permanent installations.
