This replacement pogo pin is designed for servicing worn or weakened charging contacts across several Astera-compatible systems. It is a direct mechanical substitute for the spring-loaded pins used in Hydra Panel charging cases and charging plates for the AX5 Triple Par, AX9 PowerPAR, Quik Spot / Quick Spot, and QuikPunch. Pins are sold individually to allow targeted repairs without replacing full assemblies.
Each pogo pin uses a precision spring engineered to maintain stable electrical contact. Our pins are available in four spring-force ratings—100 gf, 200 gf, 300 gf, and 400 gf—with a manufacturing tolerance of ±20 gf. Based on field performance and technician feedback:

300 gf and 400 gf springs tend to provide the best contact pressure for larger fixtures such as AX5, AX9, QuikSpot, and QuikPunch charging plates.

200 gf springs are typically ideal for Hydra Panel charging cases.

100 gf springs may be suitable for lighter-contact or specialty repairs.
Soldering & Heat Guidance
Astera engineers have noted that pogo-pin springs can weaken if overheated during automated soldering. Normal hand soldering, however, is considered safe when performed correctly. Testing indicates these pins tolerate up to 260°C for approximately 3 minutes without degrading spring behavior. To protect the spring and nearby components, we recommend using a heatsink clip or heat-absorbing tool during installation. Proper vertical alignment and pin height should be verified before reassembly.
